We start from your documentation: MOP, work order, rack layout or port list, so the scope is agreed before anyone touches a rack.

On-site verification
Equipment, rack positions and connections are checked against the plan. Anything that does not match is raised before work begins.

Installation, replacement, patching or removal is carried out deliberately, protecting the infrastructure that stays in production.

Accurate documentation is an important part of professional data center operations. Depending on project requirements, we record manufacturer, device type, model, serial number, asset tag, rack identification and unit position, source and destination ports, cable and transceiver information, and installation or removal status.

Questions we get asked
Do you work from our procedures or your own?
Yours. Work is performed according to your instructions, work orders, Method of Procedure (MOP), rack elevation plans, cable schedules and site procedures. If a step in the documentation does not match what we find in the rack, we raise it before continuing rather than improvising.
Can you work with our remote engineers while they diagnose?
Yes. That is the core of our remote hands and smart hands service. Your engineers stay where they are and diagnose; we perform the physical actions in the facility — checking LEDs and cabling, reseating or replacing components, installing transceivers, power cycling when authorized — and stay in direct contact with your NOC, engineering team or project manager throughout.
Will you take on a single intervention, or only large projects?
Both. One disk replacement, one patch, one connectivity check is a normal request. So is additional field capacity across multiple racks for a deployment, hardware refresh or decommissioning program.
What do we receive after the work is finished?
Depending on project requirements we record manufacturer, device type, model, serial number, asset tag, rack identification and rack unit position, source and destination ports, cable and transceiver information, and installation or removal status. Photographic evidence can also be provided when the facility and your security policies permit it.
Do you perform fiber testing?
Our fiber work centers on physical installation, patching, tracing and fault isolation — connector inspection, TX/RX verification, transceiver and patch cable replacement, correcting crossed connections. Where the scope calls for it and the required test equipment is available, additional fiber testing can be performed or coordinated. Tell us what certification you need and we will confirm what we can cover before the visit.
How do you avoid disconnecting something that is still live?
Before any critical connection is removed, it is identified and verified against your work order, port list or decommissioning documentation, and traced where necessary. Only approved connections are disconnected, and they are disconnected systematically rather than in bulk. This is the single biggest risk in decommissioning work, so it gets the most deliberate part of our process.
What happens to hardware you remove?
Removed equipment can be labeled, inventoried, sorted, packaged and prepared for transportation, storage or disposal according to your requirements. Reusable materials are separated. The rack and surrounding work area are inspected and left clean.
What should we send you to get a quote?
The racks and quantities involved, whether a MOP or work order already exists, the facility and its access requirements, and the maintenance window you are targeting. That is usually enough for us to confirm scope and availability.
